HAPPYTAIL PUPPIES HEALTH GUARANTEE

1.) All of our puppies and adults currently take daily Vitadawg vitamins supplements. We suggest they stay on the vitamins, that’s how much we believe in healthy nutrition for our four-legged family. Without proof of purchase of Vitadawg vitamins this guarantee is void. All puppies are eating Pro Pac Mini Puppy.  We suggest, if transitioning food, transitioning to either Iams Puppy Pro Active or Merrick Grain Free Puppy food. Adding some of the kibble (currently on) we send home with your new puppy, mixing with the new food of your choosing, will lessen the disruption in their bowel movements and lower the risk of sickness in your new puppy.  No refunds are given after puppy leaves the premises, if you are dissatisfied with the puppy and want to return for ANY reason we will accept the puppy back (in the same condition as when received) but no refund will be given. Unless puppies are in training or other arrangements are made with our staff, all puppies must be picked up within 10 days after puppy turning 8 weeks old.  If arrangements cannot be made to do so, Happytail Puppies will discuss training options with buyer until the puppy can go to its new home.

Happytail Puppies will provide the buyer with a 30-day guarantee. Buyer must keep puppy under regular and scheduled visits and care from buyer’s licensed veterinarian. In addition, buyer’s puppy must continue use of Vitadawg supplements, for its long term health. Failure to comply with the above will result in immediate termination of 30-day guarantee. Happytail Puppies will extend buyer’s puppy guarantee up to 10 years with continued use of Vitadawg nutritional supplements and continue recommended care with your licensed veterinarian.

2.) This guarantee includes fatal and life altering congenital disease which adversely affects the health of the animal, excluding luxating patellas or congenital hip disease and lung worm. Genetic conditions we do not guarantee are inguinal and umbilical hernias, recessed testicles. These conditions can be remedied easily when your puppy is spayed or neutered. To remedy them prior to spaying or neutering your puppy would cause a tremendous amount of stress, which will not be healthy for your pup because of age. This guarantee also includes severe hip dysphasia which hampers a dog’s movement and natural gait and requires surgery to correct, heart, pancreas, spine and liver problems of a severe life threatening or altering nature. If the puppy dies before it is 120 days of age, the Buyer will pay to have it autopsied to ascertain the cause of death. If the cause is congenital, the Seller will replace the puppy. If no autopsy is performed, the seller will have no obligation to replace the puppy even if the cause of death was congenital.

3.) This guarantee does not cover what in some breeds is considered normal: Cherry eye, entropion, “loose” hips, skin allergies, elongated soft palate, and Stenotic nares (collapsed nostrils).

4.) Seller will not assume any liability for Parvo, Distemper, Corona, Coccidia, Giardia or injuries made to the puppy after delivery or pick up.

5.) Low Blood Sugar/Hypoglycemia is not included in this guarantee.  You must free feed your new puppy, by leaving food down all day/night, until your puppy matures and knows it should be eating regularly.  Yogurt, chicken, baby food, soft/hard food may be necessary for your new puppy’s diet.

6.) Heart murmurs, grade 1 or 2, represent no threat to your puppy and will not be included in the guarantee.

7.)  Any designer breed puppy, a puppy that is not pure bred, will not come with registration papers.

8.) Seller cannot guarantee the future adult weight of a puppy. Seller can give an estimation based on parent’s size, but cannot give an exact adult weight for puppy. Seller will not be held liable for the adult weight of puppy.

9.) All items covered under this guarantee are by puppy replacement only. WE DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS.  WE WILL NOT PAY FOR SURGERIES OR PROCEDURES ONCE PUPPY LEAVES OUR PREMISES.

10.) Seller will not be responsible for any medical expenses incurred. Buyer is aware that owning a puppy means trips to the veterinarian and understands that he/she will be responsible for all payments.

11.) As of the date of delivery, the puppy has received proper vaccinations and worming’s. The buyer has been informed of all these and the future vaccinations and worming’s due.

12.) This guarantee does not include Coccidia, Giardia and Kennel Cough or other respiratory infections, which is common in puppies that are delivered and is caused by bacteria. Kennel Cough is self-limiting and like the common cold, it must run its course. Full recovery is expected and Kennel Cough on its own is not life threatening. When detected early, all are simple to treat and should never be cause of death.

13.) This guarantee does not include hernias as most hernias resolve themselves as the puppy grows. Hernias that do not resolve themselves are not life threatening.

14.) A puppy diagnosed with a serious genetic or congenital defect (all tests and results must be presented upon discovery) will be replaced as follows: The puppy must show the defect by 10 years of age, with proof Buyer complied with guarantee policy, for the dog to be replaced. Seller must be notified of the problem within 2 business days of the licensed veterinarian’s determination and have 2 unassociated veterinarians stating the same problem and Seller will provide a replacement puppy of equivalent value. No refund, in part, or full will be given.

15.) If the Buyer has paid for a puppy, not yet shipped, and a genetic defect is discovered prior to shipping, Seller will inform Buyer of the defect and give the Buyer the following options to remedy the defect: The puppy with the genetic defect will be offered at a discount price to the Buyer, or another puppy will be offered in its place.

16.) If a Buyer has placed a deposit on a puppy, or paid in full and the puppy passes prior to shipping, all money will be refunded to the Buyer without penalty. This is the only instance when a refund will be given.

17.) A returned puppy must be returned to the Seller in good condition, other than the specified situation, at the Buyer’s expense. The buyer will then qualify for a replacement puppy. If the puppy is returned in poor condition and not up to date on all vaccines, the guardian has the right to not give a replacement puppy. Please make sure your puppy has been well taken care of because we do not tolerate mistreatment of one of our fur babies. At the time of returning a puppy, you must include all paper work, such as registration, health records, and any medications the puppy is on.

18.) Buyer is responsible for transportation costs to and from the Seller on a replacement puppy.

19.) This guarantee applies to the original puppy only and is nontransferable to a second party.

20.) No replacement puppy will be given if the puppy has been bred, spayed, neutered or euthanized without Seller’s permission.

21.) Replacement puppy will be mutually agreed upon by both parties and will be of comparable quality. It is understood that the replacement puppy may not be from the exact same parents of the original puppy.

22.) There are certain disorders that may be caused by environmental factors, for example: allergies, thyroid dysfunction, demodectic mange and other autoimmune disorders that are not covered under this guarantee.

23.) Any physical problem which is, or could be, the result of injury is not covered by the guarantee.

24.) There is no guarantee or warranty that the Buyer will be able to show or breed the puppy, regardless of show or breeding potentials.

25.) No refunds given after puppy leaves the premises, if you are dissatisfied with the puppy and want to return for any reason we will accept the puppy back (in the same condition as when received) but no refund will be given.

26.) Buyer must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 3 days of delivery. Please do not allow vaccinations until your puppy’s next vaccination is due. This is critical to your puppy, allowing time in between vaccinations. Seller must be informed immediately of the examination result by email. A copy of the examination results must then be forwarded to the address given for our records. The failure to do this will result in the cancellation of this guarantee.

27.) We will not accept warranty claims from Bainfield Pet Hospitals (Banfield is associated with Petsmart Pet Supplies). This decisions is based on the reputation of overcharging clients and vaccinating over our vaccinations, which is not healthy for your puppy.

28.) This contract supersedes any and all previous agreements.

29.) This contract is null and void if the terms and conditions are not fulfilled.

30.) Buyer agrees that he/she understands this contract fully, and that this contract is under the jurisdiction of the state of North Carolina, in the county of Guilford. It is agreed that the place of venue shall be in Guilford County, North Carolina.

I/We, the undersigned, acknowledge the following:

-Travel, whether it be ground or flight, can be very stressful for a puppy. Some puppies do really well while traveling, while others may experience some motion sickness or sickness as a result from the stress of the traveling.

-Puppy may experience travel sickness in the form of vomiting and diarrhea.

-I understand that if my puppy vomits, they may be susceptible to forming a mild aspirated pneumonia from inhaling any foreign matter (such as vomit) and Happytail Puppies is not liable for this occurring as we do not release any puppies from our care until our vet has cleared them to travel safely.

-I have been assured that Happytail Puppies’ Driver Nannies are well experienced and try to keep any puppies they have with them clean and healthy to the best of their ability.

-Puppy is a puppy, and not able to hold its urine and bowel movements for more than 2-3 hours at a time.  Which may result in puppy having a potty accident in its travel crate.

-I have been instructed how and what (oatmeal puppy shampoo) to give and use for my puppy’s bath, once arrived, to remove any urine, fecal or vomit my puppy may have experienced during travel.

-Puppy’s eating schedule is off schedule, which may result in puppy’s glucose levels dropping, causing puppy to have low energy. Once puppy arrives I have been instructed how to give yogurt and/or syrup, to raise my puppy’s glucose levels back to normal.

-I understand my puppy may not eat immediately, or over the course of a day or two, due to the anxiety and stress of traveling. I have been instructed how to give yogurt, baby food, wet puppy food, rotisserie chicken or syrup if my puppy isn’t eating.

-I am aware my puppy won’t travel until it has been cleared, by Happytail Puppies vet, to travel safely.

-I am aware my puppy won’t travel until its Health Guarantee and Travel Disclosure is signed.  As well as, my puppy’s balance being paid in full.  Along with all travel fees, accessories and vitamins being paid in full.

-I am aware there may be a delay or change in travel schedule due to weather conditions (ex: heat, cold, snow, ice etc.) and unforeseen circumstances effecting ground travel and flight.  I am aware my puppy may experience an unscheduled layover, with flight, causing a delay in its arrival.

-I’ve been instructed where to go to pick my puppy up at the airport (if flying).  I’ve provided the correct name (consignee) that my puppy’s itinerary has been booked in. This also matches pick up name and address on receiver’s ID (which must be shown when picking up my puppy).

-I’ve supplied the correct delivery address and contact information for ground delivery.

-I am satisfied with the communication and instructions I’ve received thus far, regarding my puppy’s travel.

By signing this agreement, I am also stating that I am taking full responsibility, monetarily and otherwise, for the health and wellness of this puppy (previously stated) (see #5 on Health Guarantee)

Therefore, by my signature, I hereby acknowledge that Happytail Puppies is not liable for any medical costs pertaining to, relating to, or resulting from Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar/low glucose/sugar shock).

This agreement goes over the estimated weight and size of your new puppy. Here at Happytail Puppies, we DO NOT guarantee our puppies’ size and weight. We make only size and weight estimations based off each puppy’s parents’ size and weight, our parents’ previous litters, the puppy’s eating habits, and the puppy’s current size.

As some puppies may stay true to standard breed size and weight estimations, some puppies may exceed those estimations based on their own lifestyle, eating habits, and generations of genetics.

As a majority of our puppies are designer breeds, they can mature in their own unique way taking genetics from each parent. That being said, one litter may have puppies that differ in shape, size and weight.

We here at Happytail Puppies try our very best to give our customers the best estimates we can for their puppy’s mature size and weight. However, because of everything stated previously, that estimation is not 100% accurate. Puppies eat, grow, live and develop differently and because of that, our estimates may be just that, an estimate.

Given these points, we DO NOT offer any refunds due to a puppy exceeding estimated size and weight. We believe that if a puppy is to exceed the estimated weights, there is only more to love!

By signing this agreement, I hereby acknowledge that I am aware of my puppy’s breed and potential mature size and weight. I am also acknowledging that I was given only an estimate of mature weight of my puppy by Happytail Puppies Staff based off of their knowledge of the breeds and individual puppy’s parent weights and sizes.
