The Bich Poo (also commonly known as Poochon, Bichonpoo and Bichoodle) is an intelligent little furball that will keep you on your toes! This crossbreed encompasses the best qualities of two wonderful breeds and will bring joy to every member of your family.

We understand that adopting a puppy is a huge responsibility, so don’t be afraid to give us a call! We are more than happy to answer any questions you have before and after you adopt your little Bichpoo puppy. We still hear from families that adopted puppies from us months ago! Unlike some Bich-poo breeders, we want to form a community of Bichon-poo lovers that gives our puppies the love and attention they deserve. Our outreach grows each year; our Bichoodles have moved to parts of North Carolina (Greensboro, Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Asheville, Wilmington, Winston-Salem, Fayetteville, Cary, High Point), Virginia (Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Alexandria, Charlottesville, Roanoke, Richmond, Newport News, Hampton, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk), South Carolina (Charleston, Columbia, North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Rock Hill, Myrtle Beach, Greenville, Clemson, Summerville, Sumter, Goose Creek, Hilton Head Island), Georgia (Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta, Marietta, Athens, Columbus, Macon, Sandy Springs, Roswell, Johns Creek).

Physical Characteristics of the Bichpoo

Poochons are a cross between a Poodle and a Bichon, which means that their coat can come in a variety of appearances. Typically, Bichpoos have a coarse coat and have loose, medium length curly fur. Their coat can be variations of tan, brown, white, black, black and white and tan and white. It is common for the little Bichpoo to have a shorter and rounder muzzle like the Bichon. The Bichonpoo typically grows to be 9 to 14 inches tall, weighs between 6 and 12 pounds and has an average lifespan of 12 to 15 years.

Hypoallergenic Hair of the Bichpoo

Our small Bichpoo pups have no undercoat, making them an ideal fit for people with animal fur related allergies. But lets be clear; there is no such thing as a truly hypoallergenic dog. Miniature Poochons may lack an undercoat but some of their hair will come out and all dogs shed skin cells; just like humans. You can brush your puppy once or twice a week to help with any shedding they may have and to keep their hair from matting. Another way to prevent allergies is to give your puppy oatmeal baths about every 6-8 weeks!

Temperament of the Bichpoo

Your Bichpoo puppy is going to keep you entertained with their wit and charm. They are intelligent and will need to have plenty of toys and playtime to keep them busy! Because they are so smart, with patience and proper guidance it should not be difficult potty training your pup. This affectionate breed is going to want to be your best friend and will do anything to please you. They can experience spurts of energy, so it is important that you exercise your puppy daily so that they do not get bored and overweight. Bichpoos make great family pets and will love your children just as much as you do!
