History and Description of the Teddy Bear
The Teddy Bear is a mix between a Bichon Frise and Shih Tzu. This is a fairly new designer breed, beginning to be present around the 1990’s. It got its name due to its delicate features, large eyes and general appearance that is similar to a teddy bear. Small Zuchon pups typically grow to an average height of 9-12 inches and weigh 8-20 pounds. They are hypoallergic, making them an ideal breed for people with dog allergies. They usually have a longer coat that will not shed much if at all, but to be clear there is no such thing as a truly hypoallergenic dog. Just like people dogs shed some hair and skin cells, but the Teddy Bear breed sheds very little.
Our tiny teddy bear pups encompass all the best qualities this breed has to offer. They are loyal, playful and intelligent and only wish to make you make and your family happy. Training your shichon puppy should be fairly easy; you’ll just need a little patience and some yummy treats! Because this breed is pretty smart, make sure you have lots of toys for them to play with and give them adequate attention so they won’t get into mischief! When properly socialized, your little teddy bear puppy should get along nicely with other pets and children. This is a very devoted breed who gets attached to their humans, so it is important that you are able to give your puppy enough attention and that they are not left alone for long periods of time.
